‘Drop your presidential bid, go for APC chairmanship’–The leader of the All-Progressive Congress in North-Central, Kassim Muhammad, has urged Governor Kogi Yahaya Bello to relinquish his president’s legitimate desire to accept the distribution of party chairman in the geopolitical region.
Muhammad, at a conference in Abuja on Thursday, urged the APC national chairman to hand over the chairmanship of the North-Central leadership.
He said, “What the APC needs at this time is a dedicated, strong, competent and experienced person to diagnose the problems of the party, we are happy that the Governor of Yobe State is doing the same. the.
“Therefore, we urge President Muhammadu Buhari and all APC governors and other key figures in the party to continue to support Mai Mala Buni who led the APC to success. well in his work of reorganizing the party for future elections.
“However, as the party prepares for the (national) conference that will bring together the elected officials, we, the North-Central Council appeal to our leader, President Muhammadu Buhari, and the APC governor and leaders have the size of the group across the country.Consider North-Central for the position of president of the group.
“The cause of this unrest is the fact that the North-West, as it stands now, is a sitting president who died every two years to complete his eight years in office.
